That IS cool.

Your brain interpreting the colors as if that was a real object and the colors were muted by shadow. But it's just a picture, and in order for it to look real the colors have to be different. Very cool demonstration.

But the brain is better at interpreting data into expected results. A couple of adages hold true: "You only see what you want to see", and "Never split up the party."
