First Post
I've been a lurker here for months, but things like these shake me out of my silence.
I wrote this thing a while back. I was thinking of making a journey-poem from Taladas taught by the witches of the mystery cult of Mislaxa, who is better known in Ansalon as the Blue Lady Mishakal.
It's a pantoum, with certain lines from each stanzas, making it into the next. The last stanza loops back into the first, so it's a continuous hymn to the Goddess, and theoretically, you can keep reciting the prayer continuously throughout a journey, and end it when you've reached safety and home.
I hope it cheers you up somewhat, and aids your difficult journey. You have my deepest sympathies. And I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

I will not be afraid of the night all around me,
for you are my light and I know you are near.
I will not be afraid when my foes all surround me,
for you are my strength and my freedom from fear.
For you are my light and I know you are near,
this one thing I ask, and this one thing I pray—
for you are my strength and my freedom from fear—
To gaze at your loveliness all of my days
This one thing I ask, and this one thing I pray,
I ask nothing else, nothing less, nothing more
Than to gaze at your loveliness all of my days,
and dwell in your home, there to stay evermore.
I ask nothing else, nothing less, nothing more,
Your faithfulness fills and refreshes my soul,
I will dwell in your home, there to stay evermore,
Your mercy brings peace, and your love makes me whole.
Your faithfulness fills and refreshes my soul,
I will not be afraid of the night all around me,
Your mercy brings peace, and your love makes me whole
I will not be afraid when my foes all surround me.
