Courage, strength, comfort, and good luck to you, young man. I have read many of your posts and always felt you were a person full of joy. I hope you are and always stay that way.

Good luck Angelsboi, Our thoughts are with you.

And lets face it, how can you go wrong when you have the support of such beings as "Cthulu's Librarian","Morbidity" and "Darkness!"
You'll be able to say to your doctor "It's okay Doc, I'm never without the support of the Hand Of Evil, and the warm embrace of Darkness is never far away. I've even written down Grim thoughts to give me strength. And if nothing else I can always call upon Forsaken one in His Forest of Increasing irony!"
On the other hand, (if you don't feel this is going to help) you could always tell him that Princess Buttercup is by your side :)

We're all with you mate, as much as we can be.
Mike

You don't know me, and I don't know you, but this news makes me feel horrible. I am very glad that all these people who do know you are here to listen, support, and strengthen. I will listen too, and I think that is all I can do.

:(

elisa test only checks gp120, and can give false positive... (only one antigen)

westernblot is a test vs. 6 antigens.

dude, this is really really it horrible news, and while i never really communicated with you ever, never posted to you, or mailed or knew you out of this board, i did read your posts alot over the years.

i don't know which test you did, and i didn't read every post, but please check this out.

it's the limit of my medicial info at the moment as i am not really on the up and up on viral infections at the moment. (not that rotation) also there are a gazillion new drugs, look at magic johnson. highly active lifestyle, alots of drugs, he's a big strong guy . . . and he's been HIV + for over 10 years.

think about that.

HIV isn't AIDS.

keep your head up, and fight it. never stop fighting, because the day you stop is the day they have won.

(won't get into the massive conspiracy stuff here . . . not the place)

best of luck,
and know that you have over 250,000+ family members here who are pulling for you all over hte world

Thank you all for the kind words. And to answer someone, im 23. 24 in October.

I can pin point when I got it so its not like i was a giant slut and was an idiot. It was with someone who i was monogamous with. Randy, my fiance, is being a super guy in all of this.

Sorry to hear this. Does the other guy that infected you know that he is HIV+?

I think back in the middle ages, there was a holy order of knights, like the Knights Templar, except that they all had leprosy. It just goes to show that with the right kind of support group, you can fight anything aggressively. :)

Best of luck. You are in my thoughts.

Angelsboi,

When I read the title of the thread, even before reading in, I was filled with dread. And sure enough, I found out...

The funny thing is though, I am not worried for you. From what little information I got by reading your posts in the past, you came across as a quite eloquent, sharp, and strong guy. What would surprise me is if this thing claims you. I don't think that will happen.

It will be tough, for sure, but I feel you're the kind of guy that will just blast through this thing like a madman. Your determination and willpower will truly shine in this time of hardship, and you know what, what doesn't defeat us makes us stronger.

Get out there and show them.

Something about a western blot. My papers say my white blood cells should be around 3.8 - 10.8 thous/mcl. My white blood cells are 1.6

I know HIV isnt AIDS but its still scary and frightening none the less.

Thank you all for your support and love. Ill need it in the future as well.

My only fear is ive always been a sickly kid. Ive been hospitalized for dehydration twice, ive had Shegella D, Viral Menengitis and my family bloodline is odd. On my dads side of the family, every other generation dies young. The same thing with my moms side of the family.

Well guess what?

Im that generation. Its just scary is all.
