Ok, I'm sure a good portion of you are tool fans, and are aware of the new album Lateralus.
I was in correspondance with some people over at their website,
and asked about the signifigance of art bell being on the album,
especially in light of the band's rant on enterprisemission.com.
Well, in just a short period, I received an email... here's the gyst of it..
From: Anon@toolband.com
..."get a piece of graph paper. Plot a parabola 19.5 high and wide,
superimpose the tree of life upside down at the top of the parabola, and in each sephiroth write in the name of one of the songs from the lateralus tracklist starting at the top with parabola. Work sequentially and clockwise, spiralling inward. when you are finished, you'll have several songs leftover.. play those in alphabetical order, and listen for NUMBERS. email me with the solution and your interpretation..."
BTW: I noticed a conveniently transparent version of the tree of life on the outer shell casing of the salival dvd / tape set. it happens to fit nicely over a parabola drawn 19.5 boxes high/wide.
Good hunting!
