(OT) What to do with an insane cat?

I clipp my cat so yes I have seen a cat with a mowhawk. Maddie is a Maine Coon Living in Alabama. We thought she got lazy in summer. NO you was fighting heat stroke. So every March or April, out come the clippers, scissors, and the mustuchae trimmer.
She doesn't like the process but likes the result during the summer.

Yeah, same thing with my Persian.

You guys really make me feel apprehension about helping my sister treat her tomcat. She needs someone to hold him while she washes out his eyes.

Wear gloves. Big thick ones. Or plate mail. Best of luck and I wish I had gotten to know you better.;)

So, go to a veterinarian, and have the vet or a technician there teach you how to hold an upset cat.

All went well. The cat, wrapped in a blanket, was only protesting orally the treatment, and did not use its claws or fangs. Even after escpaing once it did not resort to violence when it was wrapped again. A little angel of a cat.

The Wife w'pointers...

Hi, Hubby is the Shroud'd one, I'm the cat one, the cat obviously is traum'd, if the cat is in your den or used place, try to move it to a spare room, give it food, water and litter box, and basically leave it alone, go in give it it's food etc, and go sit, just sit on the floor or whatever, and talk to it, don't approach it. Possibly it is shy, unsocialized to anyone, maybe your friend didn't have many people over and the cat was used to just him, eventually he will come around. My mother got a cat from a barn, who was terrified, and was never really socialized. They are creatures of habit, but give the kitty the space and respect he needs. He will come around.

We had a cat that showed up our doorstep, she was totally wild and seemed feral, we fed her, gave her some shelter and one day out of the blue I opened the door, she came over, I asked if she'd like to come in, and she did.

Maybe get a cat tree or something tall kitty can get on top of they feel very safe when up high.

Only thing I have to add is that if you can get the cat to eat something by pushing the food close and then going away completely, maybe you can put an old t-shirt or something that smells like you with the food after the first couple times.
