Well, I put together a bunch of music to use as background for a D&D session I finally got to run this past week, but the computer I was going to play the stuff on wasn't hooked up. :(

Anyways, the music was ripped from a variety of video games, such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Castlevania 4, and Super Metroid. I tried to make sure I got atmospheric music, that wouldn't be distracting. The Metroid games in particular have always had some great ambient music.

I have 1780 Mp3's. So it's not that I had a single playlist; I have 15 different playilists with the nice winamp 3 feature.

Current favorite lists:

1 list of Megadeth
1 list of Dr. Dre
1 list of Eminem
1 list of G'n'R
1 list of Two Towers
1 list of 50 Cent
1 list of Trio Niskalaukaus (finnish heavy)

So it's mostly heavy or rap. I'm strange like that. :o

Big up for the one who had 4000 mp3's.. I DL all the songs I remember ever hearing (and liking), and I just can't think of any more..

Question - I've never used Winamp, but I'm looking for a program that allows me to manipulate playlists fairly easily. I've been using Windows Media Player, but that's not cutting it any more.

Suggestions?

Well, winamp does a decent job, before that I used musicmate.

I've got about 10gb of mp3s at home, a lot of it soundtrack and jpop. I've got about 90 tracks on my laptop for listening to at school, and there are a few things I need to copy over next time I have a chance, like the opening themes to Rah Xephon, .Hack//sign and Full Metal Panic.

my current playlist:

And you guys paid for all those songs, right? :)

was waiting for someone to say that.

As much as I dispise the RIAA, I've paid for most of the music on my list. What I haven't paid for I either a) can't find (common when we're talking about music from the other side of the world) or b) haven't had a chance to pick up yet.

That said, I don't have most of the original CDs - I lost about $1000 worth of cds last June when my car was broken into.

MP3s are easier anyways.
