Other than LoTR P. Jackson's work blows.

I so wanted to like 'Meet the Feebles', but it failed to hook me after 30 long, grueling minutes and we wound up shutting it off.

Many times there would be a scene featuring new characters and the lack of introduction of those characters left me scratching my head and trying to figure out just WTF was going on.

I liked the Muppets on crack part of it, I just found it hard to follow the story or be interested in the characters.

My wife loved 'Heavenly Creatures' and the snippets I've seen on cable seemed to be quite good, but I haven't had the chance to see it en toto.

Childlike innocence? Did we see the same movie???

Well, I've enjoyed all of Jackson's movies, except for Bad Taste (his first film) which is more boring than anything else. And I haven't seen the Frighteners yet.

Probably -- you're talking about that cute muppet-movie, the one I always recommend to my friends with kids, telling them it'll be great for popping into the VCR when they need to keep the kids occupied during a party?

On a totally different note, do you like playing mean jokes on people?

I don't think I'd ever be able to watch a King Kong remake - I'd keep thinking of that classic line from the Simpson's version of it. (Which is possibly the funniest double entendre ever to appear on US television).

Well, Peter Jackson is a fan of the original 1933 film, which is the major contributing factor that led to his career decision in filmmaking. I don't think he's a fan of the 1976 contemporary remake, which I find it to be a very corny movie. But I did like the original B/W.

It appears I'm not needed here to defend the Frighteneres as an excellent film. I enjoyed it so much I gave it to my brother on DVD for Christmas. Of course, it was on offer, but he doesn't need to know that. :D
