Our CoC campaign began last Friday!

CoC is a great game, I haven't had a chance to do much with it though. I have been looking at FFG's Nocturnum and I'm pretty impressed with it. It's basically a campaign, but the adventures can easily be reomved to fit into any CoC game. The book itself is huge, around 300 pages filled with I think about 19 adventures and even pages of handouts to copy and give the players.

I hope your campaign goes well, and it would be cool to see some CoC run at an Ohio Gameday!! :D

If Quickbeam doesn't want to do it himself, I may type up a story hour of the campaign as it progresses, from my PCs point of view.
You should both do a story hour. Then we can compare your perceptions to his! :D

I may just go ahead and offer to run a CoC game at an upcoming Ohio Gameday. I think I'll wait to see how things progress, and besides, I'm already scheduled to play in both time slots for the 5/17 event. You wouldn't want me to back out on a game at this late date would you -- or do we need more games to accomodate a high volume of players?

As for a Story Hour, I'm content to let my esteemed colleague JD begin such a thread, and then chime in accordingly. If it appears that a GM Story Hour would be useful alongside Josh's, I may begin one retroactively and bring things up to date. Right now, though, I'm running three campaigns more or less concurrently, and with my various RL obligations i just can't see adding a Story Hour to the list !

Oooh, the hockey icon came out again!

Alright, I'll do the Story Hour. I'll see if I can't get it done in the next few days while the details are still fresh. Especially as it looks like it'll be early May before we get to play again!

I will probably introduce everyone to the campaign through a brief one shot adventure -- either Monte Cook's Infest or Brown Jenkin which is available at the WotC site. I trust that any of my players who read this will NOT go seeking these pdf modules out!!

Where can I find these one shots on the WotC site? I went there and did a search, but turned up nothing. :(

Yeah, the avatar I used during last year's NHL playoffs is back. Perhaps it will bring the Wings an equal measure of good luck this season!! FWIW the logo is/was actually that of a minor league baseball team, I believe called the Phoenix Firebirds. I like switching icons from time to time, and if the Tigers refuse to play decent baseball then I'll inspire happy baseball thoughts through my avatar :p.

I'm glad to hear you're gonna do a Story Hour. I've enjoyed some of your previous efforts in that arena, and think your perspective will provide me with valuable insight on what's working (and not working) within the campaign. And yes, it is too bad the next session will likely have to wait a month. Perhaps we'll find a way to swing a week night between now and early May. If not, rest assured that the other players' schedules will free up as summer approaches since two of them are teachers.

Perhaps my post was poorly worded. Brown Jenkin is available on the WotC site here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=cthulhu/article/we20020323a, but not Infest by Monte Cook. A link to that adventure (along with many other cool Cthulhu tidbits) can be found in my previous CoC thread at http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41348.

If you have any problems accessing these items let me know and I'll email you the zip files.

We seem to be fine with the number of games as it seems none of them have yet to turn people away.
