Our Dm Nuked Hillsfar!!!!

In our tuesday game, the party7 of us! where leaving the great desert, in order to return to our home base at the moment. In lew of a gods war between Cyric abd bane, much activity started. Us mostly good characters, are opposed to both gods, but did not know what we wanted to do to stop either side, well we had heard rumors of a great artifact, that lie hidden in the great desert, that was a godsbane weapon, supposedly used to help shape the world. Well if this is true or not we sure as hell where not going to let anyone else get thier mits on it! so we head off, locate, and smite the minions of both sides.

Anyways, after that, we picked back up on tues. after the last marvelous adventure, only to return to Hillsfar via teleport, to find it in complete ruins, liked it was just nuked! came to find out, by some of the survivors, that thier seemed to be a great battle in the heavens, and well Hillsfar unfortunaty fell victim! Now to top it all off, the dead rose around us and all marched off toward the Dragonspire mnts. thier to find an emerald castle dedicated to Bane, this is where the spellstiched undead (as we found out later), where heading.........well the moral of the whole story, is the Dm nuked Hillsfar, and other various cities and what not in that region of the realms.

*Since when did the Gods get Nukes!!

I can think of a few other places in the realms that I would like to drop a nuke on myself. Pitty I'm a PC in that game and not the DM. Ah well, epic spells one day...

Although, in my Greyhawk, the PC's did effectively nuke the city of Fax (pre-Greyhawk wars) by inundating an avatar of Hextor in many buckets of holy water of Heironeous. Don't think I have nuked anything else... tac-nukes however...

In the history of my world there was a spell that summoned a comet. Destroyed a better part of the contenent. Someday I'll have to write it up.

Yeah, I was going to say, all you need to wipe out a city is a meteorite. Seems appropriate for at least some gods to be able to chuck them about.

That's weird...

A few game sessions ago (maybe two months game time), our DM destroyed Hillsfar !

We where comissioned to protect Hillsfar against an army of undead, but could only help get people out through sewers and whatnot. The whole goddam city is now in ruins in our game.

Why is it that DM's hate Hillsfar so much ? Did Drizzt moved in there or something ?

I blame it on the old computer game. That frustrated the hell out fo everyone in my gaming group at one stage, and the dislike of the city carried over into pen and paper.
