Our Dm Nuked Hillsfar!!!!

I blame it on the old computer game. That frustrated the hell out fo everyone in my gaming group at one stage, and the dislike of the city carried over into pen and paper.
Also, in some of the other old computer games, other moonsea cities did get hurt a lot - maybe that set a precedent...

Heh... I am not sure you would have wanted to be in my campaign. Don't get me wrong, the games are super-fun, but the death rate is ENORMOUS. We have all died at least once, I did at least 4 times, and came a few hit-points short of a TPK at least 5 times.

Hell, we did TPK once, but our DM, wanting to continue the campaign, had a trio of NPC's rescue us. After one of us was dead, and the rest under 0 hit-points. Good god.

Pff, that's nuffin. To end my 2e campaign before starting with 3e, I made a big adventure (Planescape/Dragonlance crossover) which involved a powerful Yugoloth scavenging five "nukes" - magical artefacts, really - and putting them to good use... when the adventure was over, a desert city in northern Ansalon had been vaporized; the PC's home town on the Outlands had been vaporized; Neraka was vaporized; Palanthas was vaporized; and noone knows where the fifth nuke went. Talk about going with a bang.
