D&D 5E (2014) Out of the Abyss OOC

I certainly had thoughts along those lines too! Possibly because it looks like they may well be able to break out of the cage in a round or two, unless Solace and Raza pull back to allow Kamael to put a bonfire on the ledge in front of the cage:)

Shouldn't be too hard to barricade ourselves in the equipment room (was there a trapdoor above the rope ladder) for a few rounds while people put armor on & such.

CB, is this the end of the first fight, or do you want to keep the initiative going in case people can't run from the escaping quaggoth in time?

Kamael is the only one with knowledge (via PM) of the stalactite upper story's contents. Kago saw a few things hanging on pegs on the lower level, but Kam is the only one who ventured upstairs.

So, is there room for all the other prisoners in the upstairs room, and is there a trapdoor we could stand on please?

I'm getting some slapstick mental images!

If the quaggi can break out of one cage, surely they can break *in* to the other cage? They might be less motivated, but I'm still not sure what their intelligence level is, and they don't seem too fond of Prince Derindil...

The first story of the stalactite is ten feet in diameter (room for four medium-sized creatures). Because a stalactite hangs from the ceiling and is fatter at its top than at its tip, the upper story is therefore larger in diameter than the first story; I think a reasonable call is to have its second story be 50% larger than the first story. It'll therefore accommodate six medium-sized creatures. Stool, Jimjar, and Buppido are all size small. Shuushar and His Highness are size medium. (not that you plan to bring all the prisoner NPCs with you, just giving sizes by way of information)

EDIT: And, yes, there is a trap door to the second story that one pushes upward on while standing on the rope ladder to gain access. So standing on the trap door would work at least a little to bar entry from below (unless or until Ilvara trots along and blasts the snot cakes out whoever's up there).
