If the situation was reversed, then Kamael would not ask to bind the strangers, merely ask them to refrain from casting spells and peace tie their weapons. The underdark is obviously a different culture, but there are limits. Peace ties on his casting pouch and word of honour not to cast except for self defense are as far as he will compromise.

Regarding Wrex joining us, the simplest answer would be to have him take over someone already in group; Shushaar or Jimjar might have heretofore undiscovered abilities!

Playing Stool might be taking it too far! ;-)

Nodding. Wrex is welcome to do that if he wants for Turvey (deep gnome), Jimjar (deep gnome), Shuushar (kuo-toa), or Stool (myconid sproutling), though I'm also all for him creating a brand new character, something entirely his own. What Yavathol alludes to, Wrex, are the four NPCs who escaped the drow outpost with the party. Everyone started off this game as a prisoner of the drow at an outpost in the Underdark. There were other NPCs who were also imprisoned along with the party, but those individuals died during the escape (or were slain by the party several days after the escape).

One good resource for ideas might be to check out the OotA bonds on page 1 of this thread. No doubt there are some leads there. I'm also absolutely open to Wrex weaving his own reason why his character is in the Underdark. That's actually my preference.

Erm... Can i also take a number to potentially join later on please? If so... Cool. I was thinking you guys could do with a fighter or other tank of some sort?

Hi, Sezarious, I'm sorry, but I'm not looking to add players at this time. If you'd like, I could hang on to your contact info, though.

That sounds great. Please see below an idea of sorts I was typing before you posted your reply: :)

Here is a pitch just in case.... So i'm thinking an old man. A Human Variant Paladin (3), who long ago was captured, tortured and broken by a drow mistress. Eventually, something other than his god Ilmater started heeding his now twisted, mad prayers. Gaining a level in warlock as a result, he was able to overpower his mistress, killing her with her own whip. He broke out and has been wandering the underdark carrying some level of insanity ever since.

Custom Background: Old folk hero- I'm wondering if the old man could have once been known to be a much more powerful, (lv10-20) famous Paladin of long ago, who was by now assumed dead. Since then, he has deteriorated as has his connection to his god.

His armor and holy symbols would be scribbled on or painted over with weird inconsistencies. He would pray to both Ilmater AND the being that gives him his powers at the same time. If his madness could be cured down the track, great, but preferably not too early on.
