I'm really liking what I hear so far about OotA and am considering buying it to DM for my group after we finish the Starter Set.
I think the idea behind the Rage of Demons storyline is great in having a book, video games and tabletop RPG all connected.
However one of my players loves reading the Salvatore books and will probably get though it before we get to playing OotA.
Should I be worried about spoilers?
I understood the stories might not be completely the same but the main storyline will be.
I'm not sure how I would feel about one of my players already knowing what's going on.
It would perhaps take the surprise out of things.
It might not be fun for him either unless he feels it's awesome to be part of a story he's read.
Perhaps it's too early to ask this but could anyone who has read both the Archmage book and OotA adventure give me a small comparison between both storylines?
