So are we looking at another Greyhawk Wars, Avatar Series or even some campaign enders like Die Vecna Die or Apocalypse Stone or is it just business as usual?

Business and usual it looks. Or This whole Faerun trilogy of super adventures is it. I havent bought them but now that 4e is around the corner.

It seems there is going to be a transition type event ala the "Avatar series" for Forgotten Realms.

While I know the Avatar series was largely lambasted, I think much of that came from the railroad nature of the plot. I doubt you'll see that from WotC again.

Avatar series was a good way to explain what happened but the adventures themselves were terrible.
