Outgunned Superheroes

I dunno, I've seem expies, especially in the late 1990s/early 2000s from non-DC/Marvel outfits, who were I'd say closer than that and generally didn't attract any kind of legal attention. I think naming and powers would be much more the issue - so long as the names are clearly distinct (i.e. no Iron or Man for power armour lady, and no "Bat" or "man" for the cloak guy), and they have some kind of power difference (like cloak guy has some sort of supernatural or superpowered element) they'll be fine.

The power armor illo for a female is not actually their example character. This guy is:

They tried to design some of these Roles with a little more flexibility and they explicitly cite how Iron Man and Blue Beetle are very different sorts of heroes despite being "Armored Heroes."

But now I plan on watching the stream in full.

I wondered how they'd go about that, since the degree of idiosyncrasy in superheroes tends to be much greater than with most action heroes.

I rarely go from zero to 60 when seeing a new game system, and I have seen a lot of them. From first seeing Outgunned on AlchemyVTT to running my first game was about 30 days. I went from knowing nothing aboout the Outgunned to owning the physical books that were availble and their VTT counterparts on Alchemy. Next I backed Outgunned Adventure (OGA) which was nearing the end of the crowd funding campaign. I am so exciited to dig into Outgunned Superheroes (OGS) because superhero rpgs are a tough one to bring in for a proper superhero landing. A lot of the superhero games are either too crunchy or too narrative as it seems hard to hit the sweetspot. Things like street scale to cosmic scale always add complexity and challenge.

I also agree with some of the other comments above. I had little interest in the default Outgunned genre setting, however once I got my hands on Action Flicks 1 and Actions Flicks 2 the sky is the limit. I am really enjoying running Killing Aliens like an Alien RPG with less crunch. I have run five triple-shot games and two one-shots of Killing Aliens so far and this has been lots of fun and it looks amazing on Alchemy. I am also excited at mixing and matching the other Action Flicks to achieve certain. The art that Daniela Giubellini does as part the Two Little Mice team is just really amazing!
