ACTION TYPES
An action’s type essentially tells you how long the action takes to perform (within the framework of the 6-second combat round) and how movement is treated. There are four types of actions: standard actions, move actions, full-round actions, and free actions.
In a normal round, you can perform a standard action and a move action, or you can perform a full-round action. You can also perform one or more free actions. You can always take a move action in place of a standard action.
In some situations (such as in a surprise round), you may be limited to taking only a single move action or standard action.

OVERRUN
You can attempt an overrun as a standard action taken during your move. (In general, you cannot take a standard action during a move; this is an exception.) With an overrun, you attempt to plow past or over your opponent (and move through his square) as you move.

OK, so in a single round can you take a standard action combined with an overrun (which appears to be both a move action and a standard action in one)? For example, can a bad guy overrun a fighter-type and attack the mage-type behind him in a single round? Can I cast a spell (e.g. Tenser's transformation) then overrun an enemy in the same round?

No to both.

You use your move action to move, as a special action you may expend your remaining standard action to attempt an overrun. You end your turn when: you successfully overun your target and finish your move, or fail your overrun and end your move there.

So essentially a "move, overrun, finish moving" is a full-round action.
