Owlbear in 'October and Beyond'?

The owlbear seems to have shifted to the fey origin from aberrant and has gained a screech attack.... I find the rechargeable screech quite interesting, but I am not sure how I feel about the origin change. Did the origin change or am I stuck on 3E's thoughts?

You're stuck on 3e...

It's been fey since MM1.

With a wife, a 15 month old daughter, a business to run, and a full time job, I have not had the time to read like I used too. =(

Alrighty then.. thanks for the clarification....

Did it also have the screech?

No worries, happens to everyone. (Especially me! :P)

Not that particular one.

The other Owlbears have a form of the screech, but they don't recharge or recharge the same way, and they did other things like stun, or immobilize people, instead of knocking prone.

I think this new one is a result of WoTC recognizing that stun effects tend to be boring.

guardian claw seems like it could be rough if a group of them surrounds you.....granted you probably shouldn't see more then two at once.

If you looked it up in the online Compendium it could have shown almost any keywords. Monster keywords are totally borked over there, though I notice that the monsters with the new style statblocks seem to be correct. Those are new monsters though, so either there's a bug with the old statblocks or the database got corrupted at some point.
