Paiges and Squires?

Hey all,

I would like to try out a campaign where all the characters start out as some NPC class for a level and then become paiges to a knight, then a squire, eventually becoming knights themselves! But I can't seem to figure out how to properly run a group of characters like that. I would appreciate any suggestions

Traditaionaly one become a paige or a squire through right of birth. However, as it's fantasy, you can extend that. Have them all start out as normal, everyday people. Have them yound, but be geared to a specific carier. Then, through an amazing set of circumastances they happen to safe the princess's (or some other important person's life) life and are allowed to become squires. Pages are ussually younger kids like 12, I think squires are ussually a little older, so you might have age problems if the PCs don't want to play young.
