Painkillerjane

Interesting comparison to Heroes. Friday night is my game night so I am recording Stargate stuff anyway so I included PKJ as well. I kind of prefered the movie "pilot" to the show pilot. The thing I wonder about then is what is Jane? She obviously has "superpowers" like the neuros but as a poster has already pointed out they declared that they are being hunted because what makes neuros happen also prevents them from telling right from wrong which is why it is ok to hunt them. Jane can tell right from wrong so she is either not a neuro or the shadowy organization has it wrong. It was interestiing though that her childhood fantasy was also the lab building where the neuro was and more "creations"? are stored. I am willing to watch awhile longer to see if they answer this.

I'd say she's a pseudo-neuro, but her powers are based on healing her own body, rather than various forms of mindcontrol, so her "neuro" isn't as um, neurological. Thus perhaps she doesn't suffer the neurological drawbacks of the others. Her power would also be a lot less obvious, and thus if more were like her, they could blend into society better than the psychopathic mind control types do.

The episode was okay, but it's another of those shows I won't be seeking out, just watching if I notice it's on. I didn't find the lead actress to be that great, so I doubt I'll watch it long term.
