They charge for a playtest document (starfinder playtest rulebook)?

Ah...looked it up. The PDF looks to be a free download (as it should be, I was mystified if they were actually charging for people to playtest, seems a good way to have a small and very limited playtest with only the very hardcore players giving feedback) and it's the hardcopies that you pay money for.

@GreyLord Yep, you're right. Just printed copies.

They did it with the original Starfinder, and then again when PF2e playtesting started up.
Some fans expressed that they wanted physical copies when they were testing the original Starfinder, so Paizo obliged them with some. This cost covers the manufacturing of the books, and it seems this trend has carried on with SF2e too.

And Paizo isn't they only one(IIRC) who have done this before. Seems like I recall Fantasy Flight Games doing this with Legend of the Five Rings, and maybe... Star Wars, and I could be totally remembering this incorrectly.
