Pathfinder 1E Paizo Announces More Details about Minis Line

Yeah, that Lich and the new Half-Orc Barbarian look like cartoon butt. I like the Medusa but most of the monsters look pretty bad.

Digital renderings. That's why they look the way they do. From the blog article linked higher up:

Remember that the colors on the final miniatures will look a bit darker and more "realistic" than those shown on the digital images below...

I saw the PC set at Gen Con though and those four minis look good.

Yep - just like the ones shown at Gen Con looked better than the initial digital renderings of the PC Set, we should be seeing the same for the Heroes and Monsters set as well.

Lol, it's the sculpts that are bad, not the paint. Of course the paint will be muted. I'm expecting the Paladin to look pretty nice in-hand.

Ah! I think they look a bit cartoony because of the colors, so when I saw you say they looked like a cartoon my immediate thought was color, not sculpt! :)

Wait...am I right that a case is 64 miniatures (or more with the small figs) plus 12 large minis? If so that makes this case price seem like a good deal!

Correct:

From the Paizo Site:

Standard Boosters contain 1 Medium or 2 Small miniatures.
Large Boosters contain 1 Large miniature.
Bricks contain 16 Standard Boosters and 3 Large Boosters.
Cases contain 4 Bricks (64 Standard Boosters and 12 Large Boosters).

Assuming a $10 shipping fee, the case w/o the $20 dragon would cost ~$2.50 per miniature. That seems very reasonable.

Careful - I don't think that's the case price at Auggies - that's the price for a full set (only 40 figures).

Ack! DaveMage is correct, my bad. I edited my post above. With that information.. the better deal may still be at Miniature Market (posted further up thread). A full case should give you a full set (per Piazo, very good chance, but no guarantee), plus getting the extra minis, at still less than $3 per.

I'm working on getting these minis to sell at my site. I can't get them from my regular source so I'm trying another route. Hopefully I can get them because I'd like a set for my own collection too.

Medusa.jpg

Hmmm, that medusa used in conjunction with Studio McVey's Seraphine might be good for a Medusa with either shape changing or illusions....

Use some plastic card to give the Medusa some Harrow cards.
