Pathfinder 1E Paizo improved? probably a myth

I've been a subscriber for years. So has a friend who lives 55 miles north of me. He always gets his magazines (Dungeon and Dragon) several days before I do. My Netflix movies always turn around in three days. My Dragon and Dungeon magazines are never on time.

I haven't the foggiest idea why.

I think people are rather unforgiving, and could get positive results before taking swift action to cut off the magazine. Why get rid of the one consistent source of neat, interesting and useable gaming goodness every month. (Okay two, but Dungeon doesn't count for everyone.) I didn't get mine for two months. I called customer service, who identified their problem (dropped the zip code somehow), apologized, and mailed out the missing issues. There was good stuff in those issues. The content is really going up these days.

My recent experience has been favourable. I live in Canada, and last year when I began my subscription to Dragon the issues just... crawled... along. I was set to unleash my inner ninja, flip out and start killing people when a mysterious phenomenon occurred.

They started showing up on time. Hm. Guess they heard my threats. :heh:

I was pleasantly surprised when the last three issues have been on time or have beaten their mates to the stand at my FLGS. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

How do you define "on time"? Does that mean that you receive it before you see it in a store?

as per their own words.

within 2 weeks of shipping to subscribers.
edit: on avg. i've been getting mine 4.5 weeks after shipping

Eh. Dragon has been horrible since Paizo took over, though i think there customer service is friendlier but even less efficient. I once completly missed 4 issues in a row cause they said i hadnt yet renewied my subscription even though i renewied it four months ahead of time and the check was cashed.
But speedy delivery of the magazine isnt why april is my last issue, i didnt feel the extra money was worth the crap they have been putting in Dragon lately. In fact i know 3 game shops close to where i live thats no longer selling dragon or dungeon BC they cant move them since the new changes.

My local shop guy told me Paizo is doing badly and he's expecting them to fold.

It doesn't even matter whether it's true or not. If that's what your dealers are saying about you, you've got problems.

I don't know why everyone wants to blame Paizo for these problems. Isn't it obvious?

RPGs cause violent or deviant behavior.
Postal Workers exhibit violent behavior (hence "Going Postal")
Therefore postal workers are gamers and they are likely borrowing your copies of the magazine.

I get far more, consistent gaming goodness right here on ENWorld than from the last three years or so of Dragon.
