Pathfinder 1E Paizo improved? probably a myth

I don't know why everyone wants to blame Paizo for these problems. Isn't it obvious?

RPGs cause violent or deviant behavior.
Postal Workers exhibit violent behavior (hence "Going Postal")
Therefore postal workers are gamers and they are likely borrowing your copies of the magazine.

:)

Ee gads, you've found the answer. Now where's my Erotic Minatures Monthly...I mean Field & Stream.

I've been keeping a tally of how long it takes me to get my issues of Dungeon and Dragon and I've found that over the last six months, it takes about 25 days from the release date on their website till I see it in my mailbox.

My last issue of Dungeon was here in 7 days (Amazingly!!) but the newest issue of Dragon (#329) hasn't yet arrived.

Paizo has been most excellent with providing replacements when problems like this arise.

Usually I find that the contents of the issue is up two or three weeks before I see the issue, and sometimes the contents of the NEXT issue is up before I recieve the 'current' one.

However, I love both magazines and find them to be quite good reads and worth the money and time I invest in them.

Now if only I could tell my FLGS that I get ALL my issues before them (this past Wednesday they had their copies of Dungeon 121 (yeah! the last piece to the Greyhawk map) but I haven't seen it in the mail yet).

Glad to see the head Paizo Honcho posting here! (As well as Erik Mona and EGG all in the same day!)

I must admit, I was quite pleased to see those posts as well! - thanks for keeping in touch!

I just re-upped for 3 years on my Dragon subscription. I did it because I really enjoy both the crunch and the fluff and 'cause I love getting my copy of Dragon almost exactly the same day every month.

Thanks Paizo! :)

I had a bit of a problem when I first subscribed to the 2 mags, a few months before 3E, when WotC was running them. My first Dungeon mag never came, and they had to send a replacement.

I let my Dungeon sub run out with the merging of Poly (yeah, I'm a hordling, too) and then resubscribed with the new format. Again, my first mag never came, and I got a replacement. Weird.

I never really notice if my mags are late though. I really have little time to read them, so they've kinda been piling up. Finally read the first new format Dragon a couple days ago. Didn't really like what I saw, but thumbing through the latest issues, looks like they smoothed down the rough spots. The new Dungeon format is awesome, however.

....

I just wanted to pop in and say hi to the other Delaware posters in the thread. I also live in Delaware, although on the opposite end of the state. Its cool to see this many Delaware people here.

Back on topic, I get my mags from the bookstore where I work. They always come in right around the same time each month, no problems.

As a slight derailment from your original point, is Dragon/Dungeon and other RPG material difficult to get in stores in Israel?

There are some local gaming stores and online stores that sell a lot of RPG books, and its pretty easy to order from online stores (amazon...)

Specifically Dungeon/Dragon are very hard to come by, I talked with my FLGS store manager and he told me that with the shipping costs and his costs he would have to sell it for about 15$ which is insane, and so he doesn't bother.

This was my chance to finally get Dragon regularly :( oh well, I'll spend those 130$ on other rpg stuff :)

I think people are rather unforgiving, and could get positive results before taking swift action to cut off the magazine. Why get rid of the one consistent source of neat, interesting and useable gaming goodness every month. (Okay two, but Dungeon doesn't count for everyone.) I didn't get mine for two months. I called customer service, who identified their problem (dropped the zip code somehow), apologized, and mailed out the missing issues. There was good stuff in those issues. The content is really going up these days.

I actually sent them an email 2 weeks ago asking why am I not receiving my magazines. It was unanswered for almost 2 weeks so I decided to cancel the subscription

Open note to Paizo:

Depending on your volume you guys might want to consider using a printer named Quad Graphics near Milwaukee. They are highly automated and can do things like presorting that will reduce your postage cost. A lot of national magazines use them for their efficiency and dependability. There is also Japs Olson and R.R. Donnelley, but Quad seems like a tighter ship in my book.

[ghost quote] ditto [/ghost quote]

my hat of poly knows no limits.

it was far better back in the 80's.
WTF is a "ghost quote"?

BTW, I did received a batch of Poly back in the 80's. The ones I like happens to have a useful article for making up organization's name based on anagrams and initials for Top Secret. Oh, they have articles for D&D but I tend to ignore them and favor Dragon, which in the 80's supported more than just D&D, but other TSR's RPG lines.
