Actually, ...based on a couple factors of why someone is angry, it's quite easy to assign blame. If you're mad because Paizo Publishing will not longer be publishing Dragon nor Dungeon, then you can easily, readily, blame WotC as they are who exercised their rights to pull the lisences. Just because it is in their legal rights to do so, does not mean they cannot be held to blame for it. They made a choice, some feel it is a bad choice and are vocal about it being a bad choice. Both sides have stated that the choice was because of WotC wishing to make a change of direction for "the kinds" of support provided by Dragon and Dungeon. So, if one does not agree with this fact then, again, the blame falls on WotC, as it was their choice to pull the lisences and go in this new direction. At this point no one knows, for sure, if the names Dragon and Dungeon will be used for this endeavor, the electronic magazine/portal/content endeavor, but if they're upset about there no longer being Dragon or Dungeon in print after the license expires, again there is only one someone to blame. WotC. Wizards of the Coast is fully, 100% within their rights to make all of those decisions, just as the community is fully, 100% within their rights to agree or disagree with it in whatever vocal manner that they want, as has obviously been demonstrated. WotC made a choice, right or wrong, and since it was their choice, it is their blame. I appreciate that they extended the lisence so that Paizo can finish the current arc, I do wish that they'd let Paizo publish Dragon #360, but I've got a theory as to why they haven't. If I were about to re-launch/move those magazines into an electronic format, a prized issue number/moment like #360 would be an excellent starting point, dontcha think? As I said, WotC made a choice, since it was their choice they're the owners of all the blame and all the accolades, it's the perk/flaw of being in control. They know it, I'm sure, and hence the slew of comments from people in the company about Dragon and Dungeon, what it's meant to them, and about the new direction. They know they PR blundered it yesterday and they're working like gangbusters, today, to fix it. Personally, I think taking Dragon and Dungeon out of print, which is what they seem to be doing, is idiocy, but I also think an e-zine can be a good thing (as my Pyramid membership would show). We will see, though. As cliche as it sounds, only time will tell.
