Pathfinder 1E Paizo to Organise play for Pathfinder ala Living Greyhawk

Hi,
I think it is interesting to note that the Organized play only allows up to level 12 characters before they retire to "special only" events. I am totally ok with that, my own 3.x campaigns never got above 10th level. But it looks like, at least for now, the high level issues will remain with Pathfinder. Of course this also means they are aware of it, so maybe between Alpha 1 and the final release they may figure out a way to address that.

Actually it has less to do with the forthcoming Pathfinder rules and more to do with the scale and economics of a massive campaign like this. Relatively few people will make it to 12th level or above in a single year of play, so it makes sense to concentrate the bulk of the campaign's efforts on the low and mid level ranges. Also, by segregating the higher level stuff into special events it is easier to build stories appropriate the the PCs' heroic status. You don't have to worry about scaling down the green dragon to a grick if the adventure is being played by 2nd-level PCs.

I am getting very excited by the prospect of this campaign.

One of my good friends was bemoaning the loss of LG, but I think this campaign might just help him get over the loss pretty quickly.
