Hiho,

can a Paladin cast a Divine Spell from a scroll or does he need the Skill Use Magic Device? And if he can, is the ruling for
it like the casting scrolls with a wizards? (lvl +1)?

thx

Like any other spellcaster, a paladin can use a scroll if it (A) matches his spell type as to arcane/divine, (B) is of a spell that's on his spell list, and (C) either has no higher caster level than his own, or he makes the necessary caster level check.

So a Paladin could use a scroll of Bless, Detect Undead, or even Holy Sword (provided he's a high enough level to cast that) without any problem. He could not, however, use a scroll of Entropic Shield or Barkskin, even though they're both Divine spells (as they don't appear on the Paladin's list).

This is a useful tactic to give the paladin an edge. A 6th level paladin can cast without fail certain 2nd level divine spells, e.g. Remove Paralysis, even though he cannot cast 2nd levels spells himself.

Even at higher levels, the paladin has so few spells per day that he can prep that it makes sense to load up on scrolls in case of emergency.
