Paladins in Sunless Citadel (UPDATE)

Well, to be honest guys, I had NO IDEA the druid would attack. What I had in mind, is to say in no uncertain terms to the kobolds that I would slay the dragon, and then, as they refuse, draw my sword and walk towards the dragon, not initiating an attack on the kobolds, but responding to any interference they would put (which is what I assumed they would do).

Unfortunately, the druid didn't wait for that outcome to happen...

The situation currently present is a minor one. It is a problem that will present itself on occasion while walking the tightrope of the Code, though. You have to decide how much the Paladin should be accountable for the deeds of his companions. It is already accepted that any Paladin should talk with a DM and hammer out the varying difficulties that may present themselves, but what about talking with the other PCs?

Perhaps every Paladin should explain the way he works and what he expects out of his companions before beginning to journey with them. That way, the Paladin can have a legitimate complaint when an issue like this arises.

PS

Trainz, I am curious, what deity does your Paladin worship?

Please keep us informed of the progress of your paladin and the party while discovering Sunless Citadel!
How did the fight with the goblins work out?

Well, like I said, the minor goblin rooms where more or less a cakewalk, but we ended this week's game before a huge room FULL of goblins and, supposedly, other things...

...ouch.

Nothing wrong with being typical. (Actually, I suspect it's more unusual than you think. I've seen more paladins of Wee Jas and Pholtus than Heironeous or Pelor in LG and far far far more paladins of Larissa and Neroth in Arcanis than I've seen paladins of Hurrian. Lots of people are so set on being "unusual", "different", "with a twist", and "unique" that they all pick the wierd corner cases to play and the supposedly common characters are rarely seen.

Heironeus (I know, typical...)
