Paladin's sword

You don't have to target anything with this spell. It simply affects everything in a 30-foot-radius burst except what the caster is carrying or touching. Permanent magic items get a Will save to avoid the disjunction (their own or their wielder's, whichever is better).

You so missed the point. Or you're just trying to deflect it. ;)

Unless your DM is one of those freaky people that lets you target specific spells with Dispel Magic, in which case their absolutely, completely, disgustingly, and utterly flawed logic would force them to allow the same specific spell targeting method with Mordenkainen's Disjunction. :D

I happen to be one of those, jerkoff! :D

Maybe my logic is correct, and all of you guyses logic is absolutely, completely, disgustingly, and utterly flawed... I don't think so. Actually, selective dweomer removal requires the feat that the item requires to make and costs 1/3 the item's price, IMC.

The first question is one you would have to figure out yourself, because it would depend on what your character believes.

The second question you would have to talk to your DM about, because it isn't in the rules, but removing a magical weapon ability seems logical to some people.

This is mostly a bump.

Well this is unhelpful but let me address these.

1) My Paladin is a worshipper of Mystra, the goddess of Magic.

He believes that Magic (in all forms) should be used to help people. To him the sword will help him battle evil.

2) Gamecat's idea make a lot of sense to me.
