Path of the Magi

I've just learned from Troll Lord that I wasn't credited for my editing in it, however, so that royally sucks. As this is my second uncredited book within a short time period, it appears that I'm quickly becoming the editor nobody wants to admit they've hired.

I've still not seen the final book, but if this is true, I'm very saddened. However, as for not wanting to admit you were hired, I understand the sentiment, but whole-heartily disagree. You were a joy to work with on both Path of the Magi and Way of the Witch. I have tentative plans to do some more books of this kind in the future, and can say with all sincerity that you top the list of editors I'd like to employ in these endevors.

Hello,

Foremost, Path of the Magi is shipping everywhere. There has been some confusion from distributors and retailers due to the change of publishing houses. It should be arriving soon. If you don't see it make sure your local shops tell their buyers that the book is out by Troll Lord Games and not Citizen. If all else fails, order it from us. We ship the day we recieve the order.

As to Christina, I do sincerely apologize for this. This lack of crediting has nothing to do with noone wanting to admit to hiring you, but rather an oversite on our part. Moving the book from one company to another is no easy task and things get lost in the middle. I have no doubt that Jason told Todd and Todd made a note for me and Davis, but somewhere in there it was lost. I apologize for this and will put an announcement up on the webpage and around the web. Of course you should use us as a reference for any upcoming work as well.

Back to the book this book really marks a departure for TLG. We have outsourced all the d20 material, editing and so forth to very capable hands and brought Davis in as full layout/design, so the work is perhaps our best yet. It matches nicely with the other fall releases Living Fantasy, Vampires and Liches and Barakus and sets up Book of Familiars for a really good showing. If your a returning customer or if you've been disappointed in TLG products in the past I recommend you take a look at this one. It is worth it.

That would be much appreciated, Steve. I was looking forward to having an editing credit on record with you guys (as I'm a fan), so it's disheartening that it didn't make it into the book. I know it wasn't intentional--though my gaming group's calling me "cursed" now, since this was the second book in the last month or so that I was left out of. ;)

At any rate, it's a good book, and gamers who liked Redhurst will definitely like it. On a side note, I had thought about writing something similar at one time with the university from my Unhallowed Halls module (before the PoM project or Redhurst ever came to my notice), but it never panned out. At any rate, glad to see someone jumped on producing a wizard school, and this book suits my gaming purposes just fine.

Good luck on your sales!

Anyway, glad it's out. The guys did a good job on it.

I'm sorry you didn't get credited, Christina. :( I'm glad you liked our work, though. :)

Has anyone picked this up yet? I'm dying to see a review or reader feedback on it, but thus far I've seen nothing.

So anyway, if you haven't bought this yet, or maybe weren't sure if you would or not, go buy it. It's good. :D
