Personally, I find it engaging. My current game of Starfinder showcases a lot of the weirder things it's half-way to 2E design has. There has been quite a few "why didn't they do it like PF2E did", only to remember it was made a few years earlier.
Also the product is much more digestible in it's current format. Fewer throw away softcovers, more GM/Player hybrid hardcovers. Kinda how 5E does it.
But 5E is ubiquitous, but PF2E has such a robust SRD. Much easier to reference.
