The reviewer seemed a little lukewarm over PF, but that is no demerit to the review itself which was balanced, informative, and intriguing.

I think it was luke warm so as not to show any favortism toward it, largely due to:

(Fair warning…I co-authored the Tome of Secrets, which is the first third party supplement for Pathfinder. I also received a free copy of Pathfinder for this article, courtesy of Paizo Publishing and Atomic Array.)

I agree though the review is very well written and balanced, as well as doesn't really force the game in one direction of taste which is good.

DMf4hire hit the nail on the head. The article wasn't intended as a "review" per se but as an article to aid GMs considering Pathfinder. I tried to put myself in that mindset while writing it.
