While I was at Gen Con, I got the opportunity to chat with a couple members of the Paizo staff about the future of the Pathfinder brand. With the final book of the Pathfinder Remaster Edition being released at Gen Con, I met up with Luis Loza, Creative Director of Pathfinder, to discuss what the reception has been like and what we can look forward to in the future. Dawn Dalton (DD): How did the push to bring the Remaster forward change how Paizo worked to get all of the other books out? Luiz Losza (LL): It was hectic. There was a lot to do out of the blue. Obviously, we weren’t planning to do this update and suddenly it was thrown onto our laps. There were herculean efforts from key members of the staff. Logan Bonner went through all of the rule books to see what we could keep, wanted to keep, and wanted to update and add on to. All of this was going on while we were trying to still have all of these other books going on without pulling the breaks completely on production. The editing team and the art team effectively had to pull double duty with the addition of four books onto the schedule that didn’t have space for new books at all. DD: Tell me about War of the Immortals. LL: The timeline can be a little confusing.
