KoK Players Guide

I am a playtester DM of the upcoming Players Guide and all I can say is that it's going to be a great product and only enhance the enjoyment of campaigning on Tellene.

I agree with the last part. But as far as I understood Dave Kenzer, they GOT the rights on Mystara. All of it. I just think they will do good work if they do something with it.

Yes, they GOT the rights to Mystara.

And Forgotten Realms.

And Ravenloft.

And Spelljammer.

And Al Quadim.

Etc etc etc...

They have "rights" (just like someone said above) to ALL D&D and AD&D material pre 3E. Kenzer's comment (the way I took it) was that since he had the rights to it all, he could (jokingly) "drag Mystara through the mud"... Which is what HackMaster does to ALL of the products (though it's a wonderful ride! I can't WAIT until the first adventures come out!).

On Mystara

Once again, AFAIK if anyone wants to revive mystara, I think a truckload of cash and a contract with WOTC might do the trick (similar to Ravenloft).

We do not own Mystara and any rights we do have to it are limited to HackMaster products and came along with a whole bunch of stuff we'll never have the time to produce (unless you and eveyone you know buys tons of our stuff and we grow to the size of the old TSR so we can have more resources to apply).

Whatever the perception, we're just a tiny little company, one foot from the grave, just like the rest of the non-WOTC/WizKid/WW companies out there. Some of us still maintain side-jobs and day jobs to pay the bills.

We cut some deals and paid dearly for them. I honestly cannot understand the scorn directed at us over this.

You may be the Eye but I see all and know all...

That and Ilive in Charleston as well and know the choices are limited.

I get everything at hobby town but mainly becuase I work there every few weeks and game with the owner and the manager as well. Plus... Employee Discount Rocks

But in any case I make a lot of people feel that way.
