[PbP] The Sandman's Binding Game Thread

Nazgrel goes out to the street to check on Razor Claw. Upon seeing the crowd, he tells them "My friend needs to come inside with me now, young ones. Later, when we leave, you may see him again."

As the druid and the lion head back to Jonas and the priests, Nazgrel tells Razor Claw, "Quite the celebrity today, eh? I imagine most city folk have never seen a great cat. Perhaps their encounter with you will interest them in Nobanion."

"I'm too used to the frontier," I say to myself. "Never would have thought of gearing up to go to the temple. Gonna be a lot to get used to on this one."

For a man that lives by battle I'm entirely unprepared for heavy combat. I return to Brighthammer's smithy, and hire a porter to carry my armor and axe to the temple. I dispatch another to fetch my bow (and a few other supplies) from my room, and return to the temple.

Upon arrival I show my letter to the first person that appears to be in authority.

Storminator:
You notice a clerk as you enter the temple. "Well met Sir Dorn, my name is Darton. Some of the other adventurers had already arrived. Let me show to the sitting room where your meeting will take place."

With that Darton will guide through the twists and turns of the temple back to a well appointed sitting room. In the room you see other adventurers; Jonas, Nazgrel, Clairborne, and Razor Claw, and a young elf acolyte of Selune named Shere.

Darton will tell you that Shere will serve you from a rather well appointed table or can get other dishes. He thens leaves you to speak with the others while you wait.

Sean thanks the page for the letter, then sits down and reads it. After having read it he collects his gear, puts out his small cooking fire, and heads back to the city. He makes his way to the temple, letter in hand should it be needed.

[OOC: Paragon Badger, I'll assume your previous post to Storminator applies to me as well, to save time. If it doesn't, say the word and I'll edit my post.]

A tall man of some military nature wearing a black woolen cap and a large gray cloak enters the room.
"Dorn" Sean says with a nod, then turns to the others in the room "Sean Reaver is the name, quickest gun and run in the north, glad to make your acquaintance."

"Intriguing," says Ichtor, reading the letter. "Well... it sounds like there is much of interest here, Milgra, don't you think? The clegry of Selune must be desperate to seek help like this... "

Ichtor goes towards the rendezvous in the letter, petting the stirge like it was a cat.

OOC: drs you can assume the same as Storminator if you want. Same with you, Krug. Otherwise, I'll post something about your arrival if you want. I'll post the improtant stuff (the begin of your meeting) tonight when I have enough time to sit down and type it out.

I nod at Jonas' greeting, and to each of his companions. I stare at the lion a moment, and can't bring myself to nod in greeting to the beast. At Nazrel's words I touch my symbol of Ilamter. "Nobanion?" I ask, slightly mispronouncing the name. "Nobanion (same mispronunciation) may watch over me, but I'll look to others for help."

Sean walks in and gives his speech. I shake my head once again at the bravado. Which one keeps him alive, I wonder, the gunning or the running? Something I'll have to remember when things get thick...Reaver might not always be there.

I survey the collected company, trying to gauge their effectiveness and determination. A knight and his retinue, which means courage and battle prowess. I shouldn't have to be pulling bacon from the fire on this one. At least that crazy wizard from the market isn't one of the chosen. Some folk are just too strange.

I tuck the letter into my tunic and grab an apple. "So who knows what's to be done and where we start?" I ask, biting deeply into the fruit.

Well met Master Hardwood, Master Reaver. It seems we have some time before our briefing. As it looks like we'll be traveling together, it may of some use to get aquainted. I've had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Nazgral.

What has brought the two of you into this fray?
