PC Mindflayer Race-Opinions wanted!

Staffan-Interesting approach, although I'm aiming for something that could be used for other classes other than psions, although that is their favored class. Good luck with your own conversion!

Well, my mind-flayers could take levels in other classes than Psion, of course. They'd miss out on many of their traditional spell-like powers doing so, though - especially Mind Blast, which they wouldn't be able to take until 10th level with my house rules (removing psionic combat, add Mind Blast as a 5th level power and another power at 2nd level that stuns a single target for a while).

Staffan-Interesting, although IMO that a mindflayer just isn't a mindflayer without mind blast (and of course brain eating) .

Speaking of which, does anyone think it would it be better or worse if Lesser Mind Blast's DC was 1d20+Charisma modifier instead of 10+Charisma modifier?

I like it as is. Especially the PRC about doing stuff with your Mindblast. Keep up the good work!

I am glad to see that there are other Final Fantasy Tactics players out there.

Let me know when you get around to making a Mediator or Calculator prestige class. Or maybe a Heaven and Hell Knight?

I've done the calculator as the Arithmancer. Probably too overpowered as with all of my PrCs.

Yep FFT is the greatest Final Fantasy EVER. Now one of these deays I need to finish converting it to Dnd.

Illithid Empire Campaign

Instead of finding a way to water down the mindflayer to match PC's at lower levels perhaps changing the campaign would help. Hoepfully this site will at least give you some ideas.
