I don't think that those are NPC classes. I believe that monsters have roles which describe what they do but they aren't actual classes. There MAY be a way to figure out approximately what a creature of a certain role which is a certain level should be in terms of AC, hitpoints, damage, etc.eve_of_dante said:I think one of the npc types is arcanist: Peter Schaefer makes reference to a gnome arcanist here:

he also mentions some warlock-knights in another post - could that be a npc class, or mixture thereof?
Someone else (Logan Bonner?) mentioned an MM appendix for converting the main monster races to pcs, so one might assume they were built in similiar ways to pc races?
However, everything said so far has implied that monsters and NPCs don't have classes or hitdice. They aren't designed in terms of "This is a level 6 stalker and stalkers get 1d6 for hit points and a BAB of 3/4".
I don't remember the quote you are talking about regarding "coverting the main monster races to PCs". I do know that someone from WOTC did say that SOME of the races in the MM would have race write ups in addition to their monster write ups.
