PDF products I'd like to see

How about a list (and description) of special attacks and qualities for monsters? There is a ton of OGC material out there for a pdf like this.

That is a great idea for a PDF. Hmmmm . . .

At first, I thought so to. But I doubt there are many abilities that aren't just minor variants on a theme. And thus in distilling them for an article or PDF you would end up combining most of them. After the big ones in the MM (rend, rake, trample, swallow whole, petrify, poison, disease, etc) you get all the variants on ability damage/drain, possession, adhesion/repulsion, transformation (to a monster, to a tree, to an inanimate thing, etc), etc. Ultimately you have a bunch of abilities that require a Fort or Will save based on the monster's Con (or Cha).

But then, I don't own most of those books. Perhaps they are more innovative than I've assumed.

They are. And the file would only have to be 25-30 pages long since the qualities/attacks description are so short.

Though I would not like to see it happen (the bias bit), some new critters as examples could be included.

How about more locations that can be dropped into more standard campaigns (published and homebrew) like the Valley of Frozen Tears?

What about a whole city, block by block? Or a nation, region by region?

New religions and sects within. And societies. And guilds (possibly using Guildcraft).

For cities or areas are you talking basically taking maybe a 20 mile square and totally fleshing it out? What about something to that effect for D20 Modern or D20 Future???

I've had plans (not yet executed) to do a series of "generic" modular fantasy regions, like "The Great Forest" and "The Misty Mere" for some time. Each would feature of number of sites or areas ranging in size from a druid's grove or abandoned castle to a watershed or small woodland. The sites would be linked via a common setting, but the links would be casual and suggested only; no site would depend on any other to function. A DM could easily place one site in his campaign, and ignore the rest.

Would this be similar to what you're suggesting, and does it sound like something people might be interested in?

Cheers
Nell.

Spot on. Any good descriptive location that can be used by GMs with little time would be a god send to them (and me).

Defensive magic, utiliarian magic, alternate types of magic.

How about a system where a caster can cast spells of a higher than normal level by increasing the casting time and having bad things happen on a failed spellcraft roll.

I'd like to see some short adventures, like the old Side Treks from Dungeon Magazine. I've used a number of those in various campaigns throughout the years.
