PDFs and Compression

Probably using a less then ideal resolution (72dpi) and a low jpg compression, not to mention that they don't have a 'full' color background.

I don't think i can load my acrobat 'tools' while opening a DRMed file, but i'll take a look wether i can get any usefull info if i deDRM the file.

To perhaps put a button on this topic, I used InDesign 2 to export a PDF of my most recent project, a 55-page document (RGB art, downsampled to 150 dpi), and ended up with a 52 MB file. Acrobat Pro 6 reduced this file to 3.67 MB. Yeah, I was probably doing something wrong in InDesign, but I have Acrobat Pro to clean up after my mistakes. :)

I guess I just might have to spring for Acrobat Pro. I did get my file size down to around 6 meg. All of the fiddling I did with images (color space, resolution, size, etc.), didn't make a lick of difference. Anna, if your still out there, I might take you up on your offer. . .
