Everyone did seem to be some sort of skewed version of themselves - other than Vigilante. Harcourt was intellectual and not physical, Peacemaker was disloyal (despite his faults, the Peacemaker of Earth-1 has always been quite loyal), Auggie was accepting and calm. But even with that, we don't have a version of Chris in Earth-1 to be a baseline.I wonder if we are supposed to infer anything about who our Chris's Keith would have turned out to be had he not died.
Feels like that might be the only character that he didn't bring along for a cameo. Hell, someone even referenced Spider-Man.Peacemaker brought GI Robot with him, right? Right?
Guess I'll have to catch up on Peacemaker along with Creature Commandos.
Indeed. And the brother he killed (and felt such traumatic guilt over) now seems to hate him. So messed up. What did Peacemaker ever do to James Gunn?So Other Dad turned out to actually be the Dad Chris always wanted despite the world he lived in.
And man, I felt soooo bad for Chris at the end of this last episode.
It definitely would be nice if they had maybe 50% more episodes in a season, so they could have followed that arc a bit. As it was it's still a good quick twist, followed by a gut punch when dad gets shanked and that would have happened just as quickly, in order to maximize the effect on the viewer.I picked up the show a couple weeks ago, and just got caught up.
John Cena consistently surprises me. I don't know why, but I always have low expectations for him and he always surpasses them. I don't think he's the best actor in the world or anything but I probably should give him much more credit by this point.
I skipped the intro for most of Season 1, but the title track for Season 2 has embedded itself in my brain.
I had the Nazi twist spoiled for me before it happened. Bunch of goobers on X were mad about it, because of course they were. I liked seeing the bizzaro world but I kind of wish we got to play in that space a little more. I would have liked to see Peacemaker live in that world a little longer, and interact with it a little more. Give us more insight into the alternate reality, and flesh out the characters of his dad and brother a bit more. It was like
"Let's get out of here. Also, did you notice all the Nazi stuff? Weird right?"
I get that the bigger picture is with Flag Sr and the DC version of Shield or whatever but I felt like the alternate reality timeline was the more enjoyable thread to follow.
Also, I never thought I'd adore a cgi eagle so much.
It’s always revealing when people object to nazis being portrayed negatively.Bunch of goobers on X were mad about it, because of course they were.
If you told me a few years ago who out of John Cena, Dave Bautista, and Dwayne Johnson would be your favorite wrestler turned actor, I would’ve said Johnson no doubt. But in so many ways, I think Cena and Bautista have lapped Johnson because of their willingness to choose different projects that allow them show their acting chops or appear vulnerable, while Johnson really settled into that action role that felt more openly like personal branding.John Cena consistently surprises me. I don't know why, but I always have low expectations for him and he always surpasses them.
