Hey gang, I'm pretty disappointed with blade ward as written. It seems like it's only useful for a character with nothing better to do than expect to get hit this round. I feel like abjuration ought to have a cantrip that could reasonably see some use by adventurers who aren't in the process of retreating. Gimme some feedback, please.
BLADE WARD
abjuration cantrip
Casting Time: 1 bonus action
Range: Self
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute or until expended
Description: You extend your hand and trace a sigil of warding in the air. Until the spell ends, you have resistance against bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage dealt by weapon attacks. Once this spell reduces the damage dealt by one weapon attack, the spell ends.
