Percentage of Gamers in Texas

I game in Abilene, Texas. There are five in my group and we try to game once a week.

My girl and I are in Lewisville. There's eight in our group, and we play two or three times a month.

Another Austinite here. I came to Texas for college & attended the University of Dallas - which is in Irving, natch. That was where I first learned to play RPGs. I came to Austin as a grad student at the University of Texas & have been here more-or-less ever since. My gaming group meets during the non-football season, so we will be gearing up for another run soon.

Fort Worth is where I hang my dice bag.

My group currently has 6 players, but we've had more in the past.

When I've travelled in the past I've been kind of surprised at how hard it an be to ind a decent game store. Here in Fort Worth you can find one within 15 minutes of anywhere you live (usually closer).

I don't know if that mens we have more gamers in Texas, or just that I'm crappy at finding gme stores in other cities, so take it with a rain of salt.

A native Dallasite here. I play once a month right now at one of my FLGS.

6th level Elf Fighter/3rd level Order of the Bow Initate.

I actually wanted to go Arcane Archer, but decided the bonus damage was much better than the magic arrows.

I've got like 15 +2 Arrows and 19 +3 Arrows so I think I'm set in magic arrows for a while.

Okay, I know this is completely random, but I have to ask, I've noticed a huge number of gamers listed as from Texas, and even specifically my area, DFW. Is there actually a higher than normal gamer population in the area? Please, if you're from the Lone Star State, sound off, let me know if you're out there.
