Cute, but some of the authors need a refresher course in what constitutes a haiku. It's 5-7-5, people; 3 lines of Zen gibberish do not a haiku make! :mad:

Traditionally a haiku is 5-7-5, or 5-7-5-7-7, yes. However when
speaking of haiku written in a language other than japanese
(or another language from the same family), especially ones that
have very different structures, the rule has recently become less
enforced and many variations exist, such as the 3-5-3 syllable
count that some american poets favor.

Also note that it's measured in syllables, not words. :)

Of course, if I were being a total haiku nazi, I'd demand a seasonal reference in there as well. ;)

3-5-3? Sounds more like a soccer formation to me. Except it's got 1 too many players, but if that's a haiku, it can be a football team as well. :p
 

I think it's really cool for students with trouble remembering the table. However I also think some people have far too much time on their hands and not enough creative outlets for their energy.
