Oh, this was explained in the other thread. You can get a pet to start off by going to your user control panel and scrolling all the way down to see 'create a pet.'

Options? I don't understand you. The adoption center is where someone who has created a pet decides to sell him to another member. My pet, Rufus the Black Hound, for example, has been put up for adoption.

Generally, people don't sell their pets. They use them.

Apparently it also costs Morrus 10 points per day that Rufus stays in there.
