I'm thinking of buying the pocket edition of RotRL for use with 5.5. I can convert easily enough.

What other 1E APs were compiled into a single book and are readily available still?

Kingmaker was combined and converted to 2e in one book, and there is a 5e bestiary book available for it. Curse of the Crimson Throne is the other 1e AP that has been combined into a single book.

Did tgey ever revise the adventure after they revised the building rules in Ultimste Campaigns iirc?

I mine KM a lot recent using Olegs as a start location.

Not really - as I said, the one book for Kingmaker is actually for PF 2e, so they rewrote the rules for 2e, and still got them all screwed up. So for the kingdom building part of it, you have your choice of the original 1e rules, the Ultimate Campaign version of them, the 2e version, and I think Legendary games came out with a fixed version of those rules, as well as people on their forums coming up with fixes and things.

Big thing with the updated 2e KM is that they added in a lot of the extra stuff that Owlcat put into their video game like the companions and some of the additional encounters and things
