Just guessing, but I bet it is the leather bound edition. And just because it is listed does not mean ANYONE is paying.

I think that is a price spike between the first print run selling out and before the second print run got on to the shelves near the end of November. It should drop back down as soon as the vendor realizes this.

Or maybe there are people out there foolish enough to pay it. I mean my Castle Zagyg Upper Works copies were worth over $1,000.00 each at one point, and may still be, according to Amazon vendors. Assuming they set those prices because they have people stupid enough to pay them.

Amazon resellers are notorious for jacking up prices on out-of-print items. For a market sample, you'd be better off looking at something like eBay.

So, to put my money where my mouth is, a cursory search shows that you could get 1E, 2E or 3E PHs for under $5 (2E and 3E seem to skew slightly lower), 4E PHs starting at $10, and 3.5E PHs starting around $11.50

Even so, too expensive... I'd never put my money on that, I'd go Pathfinder.

Used seller on amazon have been known to price books really high. When looking for oop books I've seen them asking for 5 times what a book is usually being sold for on places like e-bay. These are just the asking prices, we have no informaiton that anyone is byuying the books for these high amounts.
