PHBII Classes in Forgotten Realms?

Completely forgot about those!
lol :p

Well, kobolds are a no-brainer. Then there's the Cult of the Dragon, the church of Tiamat, the Church of Bahamut, several other organisations involved with dragons, a couple dragons ruling countries...
What's his face used to rule Unther; there'd prolly be a few Red Dragon DS's around there as well.

Is Bahamut a FR god, or just Core? Hmmm....

I don't know. They're not War Wizards in the sense of eldritch knights or spellswords, but more War Wizards in the War Mage sense. The PrC gets to enlarge spells on the fly, and in the novels, they're usually portrayed as your average spellslinger.
Yeah. They simply get a free Martial Weapon Focus feat at first level of their PrC, but other than that, not much for a fighter/wizard combo PrC. I was over-exagerration their fighter side from my memory, I suppose :p

Beguilers make great Harper agents (or respectively Zentharim spies) and thieves guilds employees.
Yeah, they'd make decent Zents, as well. Harpers? Maybe, but only those few who are deep undercover, I'd suppose.

Duskblades are too heavily armored to fit my picture of elven bladesinger types. I could imagine them as part of the halruaan military or the Lord's Allliance.
You could tweak the class, giving tumble/balance as class skills, allow them to apply +1 dex to hit for every level of DB and +4 SkP/level for heavy and medium armour and shields, as a basic tweak. YMMV, of course ;)

Am I the only one that looked at the Beguiler and IMMEDIATELY thought of Shar and the Shadow Weave? They don't have the necromantic side, but the Illusion and Enchantment spells...

FR as well. He and Tiamat have been fighting each other since back when Dragons ruled Faerûn. It ebbed a bit until lately, but with the conclusion of Sammaster's Rage, the Turning of The Wheel prophecy was fulfilled, and they have continued their old hostilities.

They don't have to wear armour, you know. Plus, mithral or glassteel chain mail fits perfectly well into the picture

Basically what Kae'yoss said. Dragons of Faerun features Bahamut prominently, finally and fully establishing him as a draconic deity in the Realms (along with the other draconic deities, Io, Tamara, Lendys, even the dead draconic demigod Kalzareinad is mentioned with a cleric antagonist for one of the adventures). Supposed to be a WE on the roles of the other draconic deities in Faerun, waiting on Eric L. Boyd to finish that one up still.

He's made a return and the Dragonfall Wars are beginning anew in Toril, and Dragonborns of Bahamut and Spawns of Tiamat are now having an increasingly large appearance in the Realms.

Fair enough; I didn't think I'd heard much of him before that in the realms.

Of course, those drakes that are allied with elves (MM2 or 3) did have a tie-in to Faerun, correct? I guess that could have been a tie-in to this.

Don't have DoF, so I wouldn't know :p

Ny,

Dragons of Faerun is a very good/meaty fluff book. Much meater than some recent Fr releases. I highly recommend it. (Even if I think Eric made a mistake and said Orcus got his wand destroyed. :p :) )

hmmm, I dunno, Funny thing is, I don't think I've ever ran a campaign that has had a dragon in it.... like, a straight-up, normal, chromatic/metallic dragon. Never. They just don't really appeal to me, at least not the D&D version....

But I might have to take a peak, just to see ;)

You should find a lot of interesting characters in here and not all of them have to be actual dragons. Just maybe half dragons or spawns if you want. Heck just fighting the Church of Tiamat could be interesting. :)

A lot of PHBII classes can be incorporated into to FR Setting.

-Knights as long as there's feudal monarchy, and a richer military history.
-Dragon Shamans go well with the Dragon Cult thing.

All in all, it would make FR much more richer.
