Photographer wanted

Dextra

Social Justice Wizard
I would like to draft a volunteer to act as official photographer for the ENnies ceremony.

They would be responsible for photographing:
-each publisher as they accept their award
-group shot of all the award winners at the end of the night
-candid shots of each table of publishers before the show starts
-candid shots of the crowd
-a photo of all the volunteers

I can provide a simple-to-use digital camera.

Please let me know if you can help!

Also, if anyone has a video camera they'd like to bring, I'd buy a tape off 'em of the show.

I can help out.

Sweet!

Please drop by the ENnies booth, if possible Thursday morning between 9am & noon, and we can finalize details. Or come to the Canadiana Suite Wednesday or Thursday evening.

Yay!

Do you guys have your own cameras, or should I provide you with 'em? I have one camera that pulls off a decent rez, and one that does only web quality images...

Actually, what I meant was that I wouldn't mind having a video copy of the Ennies as well, but I'd be glad to help out w/pics. I've only got two disposable cameras for personal use that I'm taking with me.

See you Wednesday night.

I've got one, but it's a few years old. I'm not sure what the pixel count is. I'm sure it will do for web and smaller promo print uses. But if you want somebody's face on a bunch of city bus ads, my camera probably won't cut it.

*sigh* I can't believe I'm doing this but my love of ENWorld is so great that I can't stop myself...

I am a professional videographer by trade. I'll volunteer to bring along my small camera along with tapes and tripod to videotape the Ennies.

As I think further about this, I've got a few questions:

What is the sound system going to be like? I don't want to have to bring along all my microphones and such but if I can jack the sound system directly into my camera then the audio quality will be a lot better (specifically it will cut out a lot of the crowd noise).

Dextra, our best scenario for getting you a copy is for me to retain the original (I doubt you have a camera that plays DVC tapes anyway) and burn you a DVD or VHS copy after I get home. I'd be happy to do this for anybody else who wants one but it does take time to do this and so I'll have to charge a small fee to anybody who wants one. Probably something on the order of $10 per DVD if that's ok.

If that is a problem then let me know. I don't want to be seen as trying to profiteer from the Ennies but I'm going to have to be working a lot when I get home to pay for this trip and I just can't afford to donate many hours to burning extra DVD's for free.

Also, I'd be happy to do some extra footage of "Meet the ENWorlders!" either during/post Ennies or at one of my stints at the booth, for those playing along at home. And maybe even (I'm half joking but only half) finally do that video of Piratecat running a game that I've always threatened! ;)

I LOVE ENWorlders!

There is a professional sound system, but other than that, I've no idea, and probably won't be able to find out until the day of. If possible, come by the booth Friday at 2pm, and you can join the tech team heading over to scope out the venue.

If you don't mind burning extra DVDs, that'd be fabulous! Put the ENnies down for buying three copies (one for me, one for Gen Con, one for Russ). Anyone else can buy them at whatever price you deem suitable.

As for ENWorlder shots, don't forget to drop by the Canadiana Suite on Wednesday night for the get-together!
