I appreciate and enjoy the time and insight posters here have put into many of the [Let's Read] series on ENWorld and have long wanted to join in the fun.
But I keep waffling on which RPG books I should haul out of my garage for a 20-year-later public read-thru. So I figured I'd put my options up for a vote and see which garners the most interest.
Looking at my dusty boxes, I've the following potential Let's Reads:
Shadowrun Adventures - I'm quite proud of my classic Shadowrun collection and think it's overdue for a revisit. I wouldn't read all the sourcebooks or rulebooks, but would instead read just the FASA-published adventures, ideally in chronological order and with an eye toward seeing how they would be experienced by a single group of Shadowrunners over the years.
Known World Gazetteers - My favorite RPG setting books for nearly 30 years. And they only get better when read together and reveal all their interconnectedness. Optimistically, a Read Through of these would include all the GAZ books and extend through the Hollow World and into the Wrath of the Immortals and Poor Wizard's Almanacs. Truly great stuff.
Champions Adventures - My Shadowrun collection is matched only by my Hero Games Champions collection. Just like for SR, I'd be limiting my read-thru to just the adventures and seeing how a typical Champs superteam would face them.
Left to my own devices, I'm sure I couldn't pick just one, but with your help, I can hopefully single out the most popular and take the plunge.
What's it going to be, ENners?
