Fighter:
Human. Its atypical i know, but i just love the idea of a pure Swordsman
Dwarf. And again.. the idea of a plate clad Dwarf with an Axe is something i love.
Barbarian:
Orc: Doesnt need much explaining, really.. but i'll give a name: Thog
Human: I can sum this up with a name of where the class came from: Conan
Lizardfolk: True survivors in a barbaric lifestyle.
Wizard:
Human: I dont need to explain this.. i'll continue my trend of names: Raistlin.
Elf: yeah, mechanically they're subpar wizards. Fluff wise, they developed much of wizardry.
Rogue:
Halfling: The stereotype came form somewhere.
Human: With all the filth and villainy in humans they fit here very well.
Sorcerer:
Kobold: The best sorcerors of all, finally.. now that Races of the Dragon has been released, before thye were suboptimal. Plus, best race evar..!
Bard:
Gnome: I guess its their perchant for illusions and enchantments that makes tem fit this role well imo.
Human
Ranger:
Elf. (SURFACE ELF!!!) Why oh why the heck was this not their favored class i dont know. The very basis idea of elves was rangers.. woodlands and protecting them with bows.
Lizardfolk: True survivors of a wilderness lifestyle.
Thri-Kreen: They're hunters. I love Thri-Kreen..
Cleric:
Dwarf: i dunno.. when i think of cleris i think dwarves
Human: Yeah.. no real explination needed.
Paladin:
Human: I hated the whole 'only humans can be special in the eyes of the gods' thing in 2nd Ed. Sadly after the release of 'races of destiny' i realised that this bias is still around to a lesser extent. Still, they're thankfully slowly moving away form this bias, humans are just one intelligent race amongst many.
Dwarf: Real Paladins..! Not afraid to talk gruff and their holy water is strong spirits. <3
Saurial: Dragonbait was the best portrayed Paladin ever. He even bargained with a Red Dragon for the greater good, and saw her as just a grouchy old woman type of evil.. Thats a true Paladin for ya.
Monk:
Eh... its a movie archtype. Therefore only humans fit..
[edit] Whoops, dindt see the last line of the OP, dindt know this was a munchkin post, sorry. I'll leave it as is anyway
