Picked up Matrix Reloaded for $14.99 on DVD today

Yeah, but can you flip to the "Swarm of Smiths" chapter right away, and then watch the freeway chase three times in a row at the Navy Pier Imax? :p

I haven't even seen it yet (spoilers don't bother me) so I couldn't tell you if that's something I would even wish to do. :D

However, I made a quick call and found they were asking $14.00 for the privelege so I am going to pass on this one. I did go to see Attack of the Clones at the IMAX, even after having watched it in a regular theatre. IIRC, they only wanted $12.00 for that showing. There's something to be said for that venue but since I have yet to be compelled to see the Matrix sequel at all, I do not think I will shell out that much when I can get the DVD for about the same price.

It's hard to hold off, since I liked the movie so much, but since I don't have a kick-ass home theater, and the DVD has a very unimpressive set of extras, I'm gonna hold off unless I score quite a few Best Buy Bucks with the McDonalds promotions, or I can get it for around $9.99 somewhere.
I'll hold off for the SE that hopefully will not be in 2005...

Heh, I picked up the DVD and skipped past the ridiculous sections (which unfortunately was half the movie) and was able to enjoy it much more than when I saw it in the theater.

And in case anyone's wondering, the Revolutions trailer is still at the end of the credits. Looking forward to it. Assuming the third one doesn't have any musical numbers or "Herro Neo, my name is Seraph, ret's have a rame kung fu fight" sequences I don't see how it can't be entertaining.

Picked it up, MAJOR GRIPE: only 5.1 audio, no option to change it to surround or 2.1 or what you have. I don't have 5.1, so it will sound screwy. Audio options are standard in most DVD's, why they did not put other audio in on this one is beyond me.
That sucks as I couldn't possibly care any less about surround sound.

Kai Lord and Bereandur: what the heck is going on with your avatars? :D

Last night, I didn't get to it until after midnight, unfortunately, but I did watch chapters 14 and 15 and then chapters 20 through about 23 or so twice. ;) Holy crap, I forgot how good they were as action set pieces!

I agree, though, overall the movie wasn't nearly as good as the first one. It had the best action scenes I've seen ever in a movie, though.

I saw it in Imax but out in the middle of nowhere. It was cool except for one part: a 8-foot tall image of Keanu Reeve's ass crack. :( I think I am still scarred.

I bought it too...the sound was only alright...but the Smiths fight is unbelievable. Check out the walls in the scene (and the one right before it with the Oracle). Spraypainted on the wall is the word "One."

That and the fight with the Merovingian and his goons that transitions into the freeway chase. HOLY CRAP!!! I say again, HOLY CRAP!!!

I wonder if I could rig up a woofer alone? That'd really help out the sound until I can get a system that makes the house fall down.
